Haver-Tri is a sprint distance triathlon (400m pool swim, 17k bike, 5k run) based at Haverfordwest Leisure Centre, built with newcomers to the sport firmly in mind. Don't fancy the whole thing? Enter as a relay team of two or three, or skip the bike altogether and take on the swim-and-run aquathlon instead.
With a field capped at just 160 competitors, a flat pool swim, and an undulating but manageable bike and run course, this is the perfect first triathlon — or a friendly season opener if you've done it all before.

Team, Relay & Aquathlon
- Relay teams of 2 or 3 can split the swim, bike and run between teammates
- Prefer to skip the bike? Enter the aquathlon instead — swim and run only
- Every entrant, including each relay teammate, needs British Triathlon membership or a Race Pass for the event
The Course
- Swim (400m): a flat pool swim at Haverfordwest Leisure Centre
- Bike (17k): undulating, with some fast flat sections and a few lumps and bumps, especially in the second half
- Run (5k): four laps with one steady, shallow incline at the start of each lap — nothing you'd call a hill
- Course maps for the bike and run are available via Garmin Connect in the Athlete Brief
The details above reflect the 2026 event. The club doesn't expect anything to change for 2027, but the updated Athlete Brief will be published closer to race day to confirm.
Entry Requirements
- Minimum age: 15+ on 31st December 2027
- British Triathlon membership or a Race Pass is required for every entrant, including each relay team member
- Field capped at 160 competitors
- Entries open Autumn 2026
- Entry fees: £40 (individual), £50 (relay team), £30 (aquathlon), plus online booking fee

Safety & Rules
- Run under British Triathlon Competition Rules, with Technical Officials on course including motorcycle officials on the bike route
- No wetsuits or flotation aids in the pool swim; no drafting on the bike
- The bike and run take place on open roads — normal road rules apply throughout
- There are no water stations on the course, only at the finish — bring your own fluids, especially for the bike
- Medical cover is available throughout the event
